finally ended the UCONN women's (irrelevant) streak. I've never rooted for anything Mississippi related, and rooting for a squad that last got edged by 60 in the last matchup was weird, but a nice start to the weekend

39 bets were taken by William Hill sportsbooks on Mississippi State to win.
Biggest was someone who plunked down $200, netted $4,000.

Started watching during 3rd quarter. Dak Prescott was in full on meatball mode the whole game. Loved it.

The Fredericton High School (Fredericton, New Brunswick) boys' basketball team won 207 consecutive games between 2006 and 2012. That's about the level of the UCONN streak.

I wonder what level of high school boys basketball team it would take to beat them.

A typical CPS finalist should be able to do the trick, probably even a semifinalist.

I still say the ONLY woman player I've ever seen that would even be able to compete on the floor with decent men would be Dawn Staley. She played faster & tougher than most men and didn't shoot from her chest like most women (& Lonzo Ball).

Staley, AI, Kobe & MJ are still the only players I would have paid to see play over the last 30 years.

Miss State vs UConn got it's ass kicked by a regular season NBA game.

I honestly did not even know it was being played until I saw the results on ESPN the next morning.

It couldn't even get a spot on the main ESPN channel, it had to go to the 'Ocho'
