Replacing Phil Simms as #1 analyst on CBS. Best play you have ever made. |

The only better news today would have been finding out Phil Simms was killed by a swarm of bees. |

There would have been quite the media buzz over that. |

Bernstein called it "total crap" that Romo would get on the #1 broadcast team with NO live broadcast experience. Bonnie. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/bonnie-ber ... 39790.html |

If he can speak English @ an 8th grade level, he's already better than his predecessor. |

I wonder whether Jerry Jones threw CBS a few dollars to make it happen. |

Approx...Cowboys take a 19M salary cap hit...which they might be able to spread over two years. If Romo was on roster..it would've been 24M. Also, The Cowboys "released" Romo so that he didn't have to pay back a portion of his signing bonus. Jerry took care of Romo. No surprise. |

Tony Romo is pretty sharp figuring out and calling the next play just by looking at the offensive formation. So, why hasn't a team offered him a job on their Defensive staff? |

Part of me was impressed but then I figured that was his job for 12 years or whatever and he was pretty good at it so maybe I shouldn't be surprised. Now my question is why aren't the other QBs who do analysis as perceptive as Romo? Is it matter of history...like maybe the game was vastly different when Aikman was starting that he isn't as in the know about modern playcalling as Romo is? But knowing that stuff is his job so...idk. |

I usually have volume way low anyway so I pay no attention to whomever is announcing. |

Anyway Romo is great for his insight. I think he talks too much or too often though. |

I like how authentic he sounds. You can tell he really enjoys watching the games. |
