I'm just going to say this type of thing would only happen at a hockey game. (it has happened before too and went down exact like this in terms of the response)

they weren't. Those fans hear the US anthem probably 30 times a year in Edmonton.

If the roles were reversed I sincerely doubt that US fans in any sport could sing more than the first two lines of O Canada.

I know I couldn't. But I'm also never in a place to hear it

I think I could when I was younger. Seemed like I went to one Cubs expos game a year and every Hawks game we saw they did the Anthem. So it's possible I saw a lot of maple leaf games or they used to sing both before ever game in the mid to late 80's. Almost never hear it now.

I would guess we get 75% of the words correct when the fireworks start at Lakemoorfest.
