Was getting ready to douchebag him as he's been overexposed lately but listening to him do analysis during the ESPN game last night made it a better broadcast. I don't know if that speaks to how bad Mendoza is or if Ross is genuinely talented at it ( though to be fair , he has insights into the Cub a normal analyst wouldn't ) . Nice to have someone who played the game and could speak halfway intelligently about it . |

I was impressed with Ross's objectivity and willingness to call it as he saw it. He didn't hesitate to criticize Montero on a missed block of a wild pitch ("that was poor technique"). |

I was wondering if anyone else would post this. Ross could be on a broadcast any day. He did well and did not seem nervous at all. Isn't this how Kevin Millar got his start? |

I am a tad sick of the grandpa Rossie tour. But I did enjoy some of his insights, and I thought it was funny when he "warmed up" Heyward in right from the bleachers. |
