What pissed me off the most that year was the fact that the White Sox lost an early season series to the lowly Royals...Ozzie's response was "Meh, it is only spring." I hate that mentality. At the end of the regular season, all 162 games are counted. They win that series at the beginning of the season and, guess what, they would've been in the playoffs. |

I remember that. Long time Sox killer Mike Sweeney got a big hit off Politte. The Sox pitching completely imploded in the 2nd half. They were swept by I want to say Oakland or Boston going into the break, and never recovered. |

IMU's point still stands. You guys know what it is like to have defending championship team underachieve and go in the crapper. The fact that they were so good in the first half makes it even worse. You guys were teased with another good run to have it crash and burn. |
