The three true outcome approach brought us this, just like analytics demands strict reliance on the three point shot in basketball or the mandate to judge football games primarily by the yards per pass attempts. Plug and play sports seemingly been drained of soul. And yet many wonder why kids really care more about the video game version, or why old farts now don't watch or care as much as we used to. |

I pretty much agree with RR. I still love baseball but it's hard to watch sometimes. |

I much preferred skinny guys in stirrups slapping balls around the infield. |

It's not like I want a return to 1985 cardinal baseball but the amount of atbsts that end with no action is kinda hard on game flow. |

Baseball may not even exist in 10 years. The fourth most popular athlete in America by 12-22 year olds is Messi. |

I'd prefer 89ish cubs where there was a lot going on but a wee bit more power. |

Was it really Balboni before this? Hamlin had a decent rookie campaign but fell off the map after that but even that was twenty odd years ago. |

They manipulated the baseball this year. They wanted a repeat of the mid-late 90's Post-Strike steroid era without the controversy of PEDS. Pretty clear what MLB is up to. |
