Post subject:  Paying it forward!

On Sunday, we stopped at Starbucks and for some reason the lady in front of me bought our order. Now, I'm pretty sure I am supposed to be a dope that says "Ok, let me buy the order of the person who can afford overpriced coffee products and then I can go through my day thinking I'm a good person because of that great thing I did that certainly makes the world a better place!". Instead I just said ok, that's cool to the girl in the window and took the free Starbucks and got out of there. My only regret is that the person in front of me will never know that I didn't buy the person behind me a drink and she just put an extra $10 in the pocket of a guy who thinks the whole concept is dumb.

So, thanks lady or guy in front of me!

You can now send that money to Purdue to help keep Painter around

Like all the cosplayers. Though, this one could be tempting.

I think I may send the $10 to Joel Osteen.

It actually was near campus.

However, the big concern is keeping the football coach, though his last two weeks certainly made it harder for him to move on to a better job.

What is your midseason grade on new coach?

Before the Rutgers game it was an A+. The last two weeks have had some mistakes. It's still a solid B+. The team is remarkably better this year. The consistent last ranked recruiting classes in the conference are too much to overcome. They better beat Illinois this weekend though.

I'm very excited for the future.

after his repeated tournament blow-ups it's safe to say he isn't going to be getting much of a raise

I'm not worried about losing Brohm. I am worried about losing Nick Holt. He's going to be a prime candidate for a HC job somewhere.

Let's not let all the Purdue bullshit in here distract from the fact that Rick is why we can't have nice things.

I viewed it as a public service.

I hope the next person in front of you gives the cashier enough to cover only a medium.

I always order the short with an extra espresso shot, if I'm ordering a milk-based drink @Starbuck's.

I'm not a coffee drinker, only a tea drinker, but doing more than 8 oz. at a time of either is hard to wrap my head around. By the end it's gotten cold!

Drink faster. I don’t do coffee either. The jade citrus mint venti (24 oz) is my go-too. Just under $3. I’m not giving up five of those.

Well, I'm trying to enjoy it, and something like Darjeeling has to be sipped because it's so bitter/astringent.

Happened to me once. I refused and told the cashier I didn't want someone else to pay for my order. She looked at me like I was a real asshole.

That's what I would do. The whole thing is bizarre.

Part of why I never go to Starbucks or Whole Foods. They act like you're a piece of shit if you don't pay it forward or round up your bill for whatever bullshit cause they are pushing for that day.
