They deserve nothing. Most of their catastrophe was self-inflicted by dumbshit Texans covering a floodplain with concrete so that no one will ever have to drive more than a mile from their McMansion to a Whataburger. |

I read somewhere recently Houston will take over Chicago as the 3rd largest city in the U.S. Really? What industry they have there to attract so many people? |

I like how that carny Prichard will refer to every last trash-ass 1999 WWF storyline as "trying to tell a story." Everyone thinks they're "telling stories." A commercial where a guy takes boner pills tells a story now. |

Fuck Houston. Austin is a much better city in almost every way. I can't go as far as CH though and say they deserved to die based on political preferences. |

Pritchard is a little too laid back. I like Cornette's energy. Ill check that Schivonne one but I always hated that guy. |

I have spent next to no time in the entire state of Texas. I did go to a wedding in some small, agricultural town outside of Lubbock. It was a strange community populated by people who had immigrated from Germany. Many still spoke German to each other. They wore jeans with big belt buckles to the wedding. |

rogers park bryan wrote: Yea, Im already at the point where I can guess what Cornette is going to say. 1) So-and-so EXPOSED THE BUSINESS 2) fuck Vince Russo 3) circuitous half-hearted apologia for Bill Watts 4) wrestling stopped being good when they ran any house bigger than Center Stage I never liked Schiavone, no one did, but that's what makes him so good now: you finally see him not as an over-the-top pitchman who calls everything a sidewalk slam but as this poor put-upon shlub who had to work for this terrible organization usually churning out a terrible product, who knew as well as we did how crappy WCW was (at least when they weren't falling ass-backwards into success based on Hogan, Hall, and Nash telling everyone how crappy WCW was). I feel bad that he never got to work for the Atlanta Braves after Skip and Pete infield-fly-ruled off this mortal coil; the Braves seem to be his passion above all else, and for all the shit he got, he actually was good announcer when he had the chance. All the Prichard podcast highlights got nuked from YouTube and I find myself not missing them. |
