That woman has been spinning bullshit into gold for virtually my entire lifetime. I could rail against it and deservedly so but on some level you have to appreciate the empire built on nothing but making housewives feel comfortable. |

Next Democratic nominee. She is the best of Obama and Hillary all rolled into one. She would win in a landslide over Trump. Reality TV has taken over the White House. |

Should be in DBOTW. The "Anti-Men" narrative is getting played out. |

President Oprah is very likely if Trump makes it all four years. Hell, even if he doesn't. Regular Reader wrote: Just get ready for Sen. Beyonce Knowles, TX(D). And I'm only half joking. I will do anything the Republican Party asks of me to prevent this. |

And I'm only half joking. Yes, she is a talk-show celebrity who has made a fortune selling a "soft" brand of neoliberal self-help ideology to a cretinized audience. She is not an intellectual; she is a charlatan. And she does not represent a challenge to the status quo; she embraces it. So I guess that makes her a perfect prospective presidential candidate for the Democrats after all. |

Come on. Oprah had a very impressive career. She wasn't handed everything in life like Trump and built an actual empire. She's not qualified to be President but we now live in a world, starting with GWB, and then clearly Obama, where having a long political history is a negative as Gore, Kerry, McCain, Romney, and Hillary learned as all of them were more "experienced" than the people that beat them. |

Now that the president is basically just a figurehead for unelected administrators, I see no reason why President Oprah is unthinkable. |

But in this ass backward time we've been in since the seventies, she's what has come to represent a perfect prospective candidate for any sophomoric, ill educated voter of all parties. Democratic, Republican or Libertarian. |

No chance a Beyonce or Oprah runs for anything. Their brand is too important to them. |

His calculation was that he would get richer by running and losing. Oprah will lose more of her audience than she did when she endorsed Obama. Beyonce doesn't appear to have that kind of ambition. |

She had her "beard" on one side and her "Friend",Gayle King on her other side. The audacity of it all. Her speech was inspiring to who exactly? Why was she being given the Cecil B. Demille award when her Hollywood "career" equals about 3 quality roles in her life. The world is full of hypocrites! |

Oprah is bored making Weight Watchers & soup commercials. She's setting up Ava Duvernay to keep the money train rolling in Hollywood for her from behind the scenes(except at awards time). She's gotten a fresh appetite for power and is quick to believe she's the most virtuous, the greatest philanthropist, the most amazing self made billionaire, etc. etc. And the Beyhive is right now putting that ambition in their Queen Bey Not to mention her certainly being tired of the most soap opera portions of her empty by comparison life. |

I'm sure there will be some internal worrying about pivoting -- well, lurching -- from "the (clap) most (clap) qualified (clap) candidate (clap) in (clap) history" to someone who has never been elected to anything, but all you have to say to that is, as the DCCC did, "have you seen the other guy?" |
