As long as the voting demographics are what they are he's absolutely right. Talk of racism is a loser for democrats for MANY reasons. Racist get energized, white men feel like they're under attack, some tune it out, outrageous claims are made by democrats and some subconsciously believe they need to defend their tribe. Waiting until the 2060 presidential election to mention racism is probably a good idea. |

Those that thought so were utterly stupid for believing it. How dare they play the "race card"?. How dare they race bait? After all it was about the economy stupid! Ok here is his senior adviser basically admitting that the racism play was and is a net win. |

Race and to a lesser extent gender sure is a funny thing in politics. Bannon is rightly criticized for being the dope he is but then the Democrats pine for Oprah. Not because she has a single identifiable qualification but because she is a black woman and will bring those votes. |

Not because she has a single identifiable qualification but because she is a black woman and will bring those votes. I hate identity politics, but I'm not sure that's completely true. There might be some idiots out there who want her solely because of her gender or race, but there are MANY who probably genuinely think she would be good. She's a pretty respected person (right or wrong). If Trump wasn't elected solely because he is a white man (and he wasn't), I don't think it's fair to say that Oprah is being talked about solely because she is a black woman. |

But she's actually a self made, legitimate billionaire who can control herself and the narrative around her without the divisive rhetoric of MANY. |

I am not dismissing your point but I am speaking about the political chiefs on either side not the average voter. The chiefs know that much like Trump, Oprah would have no idea what she was doing. |

The grandchildren of that change will be active by 2060. |
