Easily over $500 a year. It's not millions of dollars, but savings nonetheless.

I'm saving around $700 per year using Playstation Vue. It's not perfect either but it does everything I need.

Agreed here that it's not perfect, but they are constantly updating their apps and improving it. Meanwhile the last cable DVR I had probably hadn't had a major software since 2010.

It's been nearly 2 years since I cut the cord and my savings are well over $1,000 at this point.

Personally I prefer PS Vue. Regardless, more people should jump to services such as this and dump Comcost. Whether it's Vue, Youtube TV, Sling, etc., there is no reason why anyone should still have a cable subscription with one of those god awful DVRs they provide you with and charge $8-16 a month per TV for.

Currently we pay $178 a month, which includes our discounted promotion package (Cable, Internet, Voice), equipment rentals and taxes. As of August, this will increase to over $200 a month, and then increase again a few months after that. I called Xfinity and was told that “all I have to do is call back to ask for a lower price package” if I wanted.

If we decide to cut cable and only use their internet, we will pay $114/month for the internet service (the discounted bundle price no longer applies). We will also have to keep the modem rental, which is $11, unless we buy our own. Throw on YouTube TV at $40/month and we end up paying $165.00 per month. We will have less channels, but Hulu and Netflix can supplement anything we miss. YouTube TV also comes with unlimited cloud DVR storage.

So, in the short term we will save $13/month, but will save more as time goes on. There are risks associated with having everything run on internet-only, of course.

Long story short, if we make the switch we will save over $400 a year, and even more if we purchase a modem.
