This story is unbelievably depressing.

So the jury finds the guy responsible but then sets an award basically saying he is not responsible at all. Jury full of dickheads.

Jamming some tunes. Realizes someone is pounding on the garage door...lifts door, says something stupid not realizing it's the cops...realizes it's the cops and shuts garage door...gets blasted by cops through closed garage door because he was obviously a threat...being black and all.

What would you expect to happen to anyone who brandishes a firearm in front of police, across the street from an elementary school by the way, who then tried to barricade themselves behind a garage door? How do expect that situation to be resolved?

I would hope it isn't proper protocol to shoot up a garage like a mobster because someone may have a gun but hasn't used it in a country where pretty much everyone seems to own a gun.

Whatever he did with the gun did not concern them enough at the time to do anything. It wasn't until he closed the garage that they thought he needed to be killed even though he never fired a single shot.

It's a shame they didn't have a body camera.

Well a jury of our peers rightfully determined the value of this particular shitheads life to be a fraction of the cost of a postage stamp. Fair appraisal to me. Good riddance.

You're right. The police should have first (1) been humble and then second (2) sat down and listened. If they could've properly understood the intersectionality and internalized oppression Gregory Hill was experiencing then they wouldn't have impeded his God Given Right to blare music while drunkenly waving a gun around in front of an elementary school.

Hill should probably get the Medal of Honor now that I think about it.

I would say if you are buying a gun with the intention of getting a shit faced and then pointing said gun at cops (in front of a school) that maybe you have disolayed the type of personal irresponsibility that undermines many of the constitutional rights.
