Monique Davis, the fiancee of Hill, told NBC that the decision left her feeling shocked.

"My heart just dropped," she said.. "It was like, are y'all serious?"

Phillips lamented that the jury sent the message that they "viewed these childrens' pain as virtually worthless."

What would you expect to happen to anyone who brandishes a firearm in front of police, across the street from an elementary school by the way, who then tried to barricade themselves behind a garage door? How do expect that situation to be resolved?

You're right. The police should have first (1) been humble and then second (2) sat down and listened. If they could've properly understood the intersectionality and internalized oppression Gregory Hill was experiencing then they wouldn't have impeded his God Given Right to blare music while drunkenly waving a gun around in front of an elementary school.

Hill should probably get the Medal of Honor now that I think about it.
