I liked the old movies. Rogue One was even good. But this had to die. There needs to be new stories and fresh ideas. Rehashing Star Wars every year was just too much. Now that the left has finally destroyed Star Wars we can find new tales to put on the big screen. Thanks Kathleen! |

George Lucas killed Star Wars 19 years ago. I'm just going to leave this one here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=FxKtZmQgxrI |

the last one I watched was Rogue One. I dont even know if these movies are any good or not. I just enjoy the mouse ruining their $4b purchase. |

The most retcon they did in The Last Jedi was to imply that the ability to control The Force is not something you're born with, but something anyone can acquire. That may be fine as a social statement, but it goes against the premise of the other movies, where part of the fun was figuring out where the bloodlines led. It would be like Marvel announcing that anyone could use Thor's hammer. |

Maybe I missed something and I really don't want to watch it again, but wasn't the implication that anyone can be born with the force as opposed to acquire it? |

You do not simply take Jedi lessons without the natural instincts. |

Jesus H. Midget Fucking Christ people. There are 2 more trilogies being developed that don't involve anyone in the Skywalker stories. That's six more movies throughout the 2020's at least. One trilogy is going to be from 'The Last Jedi' director Rian Johnson (ugh). The other is going to be written and developed by the Game of Thrones writers (Yay). http://time.com/5045736/upcoming-star-wars-movies/ Don't ever buy into the constant fear and panic of board Xenophobe, America. The Star Wars universe is too big for a dud like 'Solo' to kill it. |

It wont break even for many years. And its only the 4th film since the mouse dumped $4b for Lucasfilm. Its really not a good sign. |

You do not simply take Jedi lessons without the natural instincts. we're of course allowed our own interpretations and I mostly agree with these. I also saw it as a reminder along with Luke bemoaning the idea of him showing up and saving the resistance with his laser sword...the force is and therefore potential jedi are a bigger story than Skywalkers vs. Vader/Kylo/Empire/First Order. That's why Rey doesn't need or have a backstory connected to them. Stable kid on Canto Bight Force grabs the broom.... I think the 9 will have jump ahead in timeline (not only to account for Leia dying) and show the resistance (and maybe some sort of jedi order under rey) rebuilt with more force sensitive fighters. not necessarily jedi, but force nonetheless |
