Why did North try to sue board member RodeoVann? I don't remember.

These two have a history? That’s harsh.

North would probably spin it as Stone has been following my career for the last ten years!

IIRC there was a move to boycott North's sponsors and given that RV was a very vocal critic around here, North went wild with rage and his shyster lawers were instructed to send out cease and desist letters claiming some kind of illegal interference with his business relationships and slander.

The threats died fairly quickly and next so accelerated North's well earned slide into "bolivian".

Circa 2006-07, Stone was doing hits with North, Murph, and B&B each week and openly hated two out of the three shows.

Which show didn't he despise? He seemed to spread his disdain around pretty evenly.

Stone didn't want to bend over and take it for once. That probably surprised North.

IIRC, He was a touch less smarmy on B&B.

Two DB's. Stone is a good analyst but is incredibly smarmy.

His ability to predict a breaking ball in the dirt on an 0-2 count is uncanny. I don't know how he does it, maybe he uses Rube's software?

North's recent "retired guy" Twitter persona is more obnoxious than he's ever been. A toxic blend of old white guy sports thoughts and Trump love. He's a ridiculous and great follow. He even used #childplease as a hashtag the other day.

True. His appearances on B&B were incredibly awkward, though. B&B were oily with obsequiousness, and Stone possessed little or no understanding of contemporary sports talk radio. The whole production was really a disaster.

Remember when they played that clip of him calling one all the time on the Score?

Ed Farmer then said, "you were saying..."

A slider low and away should get him here. Now here's a tip for all you young ballplayers out there: if you're looking for a surprisingly vibrant nightlife without the fear of commitment, I can't say enough good things about the port city of Baltimore, Maryland. When I won 25 games with the Orioles in 1980, I attributed a not insignificant portion of my success to some good friends I made at The Pipefitters' Union and The Lucky Sailor, and I guess you could say I was a very lucky sailor indeed. Unfortunately, it was the '80s, and not everyone I met would go on to have the same luck. Of course, it could be worse, they could be Kent Mercker.

The Score made the theme song from The Natural his leitmotif, because baseball, but doesn't that theme conjure up images of hitting a home run? off a pitcher?

Man,Stony was harsh. I often felt how North feels about a Sox broadcast. Takes me back to the days of Brickhouse with the Cubs. Harrelson of course is the #1 asskisser in town but the new guy doesn't say much either. I don't know how you do that day after day. To be fair,Kasper was pretty mild when the Cubs sucked but Bob Brenly was not on board with that stuff.

I know there is some history between Stone and North.

I think about 10 years ago, North was openly begging Jerry Reinsdorf to be the Sox color man.

Anyone remember that?

About a decade ago, Stone was petitioning anyone who would listen to be a baseball GM. Nobody would listen. I think insiders know what we only get a glimpse of from ole Stone Pony.
