Gotta give it to him. The poster boy for bad FA signings has had a nice stretch. It would be great if he could keep this up for a season.

A lot of fans are happy and pleased with his season thus far. But nobody's happier than him.

Batting nearly .100 higher than Bryce Harper as of today.

Harper's signing will be spoken of for decades as one of the worst ever.

How is his biggest little Nationals fan taking it?

He's dead to Jimmy.

Who stroked a walk off single Tuesday night on a 3-2 count, with 2 outs in the bottom of the 6th and the bases loaded.

Such a seemingly good guy... it's great to see him have some success.

He will.

And he is only 7, but he orders his own pizza too. Margherita, no salad though.

Your grandson is a Nationals fan? I guess at least he's not a Sox fan.

He lives near DC.

When he is in Chicago, he is all in on the White Sox though.

Credit where it is due. He has hit much better. Squaring up and barreling the ball far more often and driving it. No longer does it feel hopeless when he comes up to bat with runners on. Nobody has lamented him getting that huge contract more than me, but it is looking less and less tragic these days. I do hope it continues. He has always been a hard worker and a good teammate, so it's nice to see him having success.
