My mother was educated in the Chicago Catholic School system all the way through her degree from DePaul.

She worked and volunteered for Chicago Catholic Charities in many facets ranging from teaching kids to swim to being a camp leader in the summers.

CCC was a major and positive influence in my mother's life as well as the recipients of the programs and ministries.

Nomination proudly seconded. :salut:

My first full time job was with Catholic Charities and to see the work that they put in attempting to change people's lives was admirable.

I would appreciate a well maintained homeless population.

I'm guessing you've put forth a relatively Julie Dicaro-esque effort towards accomplishing that goal.

Though you do make a fair point. I have never bathed a homeless person.

Did you ever shelter, feed and clothe them?

Why would it be a shot?

Why would I think it's bad to clean the homeless?

Rick was dismissive because he accomplishes more in the service of humanity in a single day than CCC has achieved during the span of its entire existence. He's not a registered charity, but he is doing the Lord's work right here on the CFMB!

I was in Skopje during the Kosovo/Serbia cleansing and saw the refugee camps.
Catholic Relief Services did the most, did the best, they rock.
Lutheran World Relief was giving it's money to a fucking Macedonian 'agency', which was Not helping the Kosavar refugees.
Islamic Relief Worldwide was giving it's money to stir things up and was actually helping few people.
The Joooos/Zionists had a nice medical place but few were showing up as the Islamists made it a NoGo sort of place.

If they didn't do it someone else would without invoking the name of a mythical figure.
