Of course anyone who dare associate with the POTUS risks their career anymore but he did a great job not taking the bait here . The sports media attempted to draw Tiger Woods into the ongoing feud between NFL and NBA players on Sunday, after Woods wrapped up his final round at the US PGA Northern Trust tournament, in New Jersey. However, the 14-time major winner declined to get involved. Woods was first asked about his personal relationship with President Trump, and whether he would describe it as “personal or professional.” “Well, I’ve known Donald for a number of years,” Woods replied. “We’ve played golf together. We’ve had dinner together. I’ve known him pre-presidency and obviously during his presidency.” Then, however, the reporter asked what he clearly wanted to ask from the beginning: “At times, especially 2018, I think a lot of people, especially colored immigrants are threatened by him and policy — what do you say to people who might find it interesting that you have a friendly relationship with him?” Woods said, “Well, he’s the President of the United States. You have to respect the office. “No matter who is in the office, you may like, dislike personality or the politics, but we all must respect the office.” The reporter then asked Woods if he had anything else to add “about the state and the discourse of race relations?” Woods again, declined: “No. I’m just finished 72 holes and really hungry.” |

Maybe someday we will stop going to athletes and Hollywood celebrities for their thoughts? That in turn might stop the Twitter syndrome where everyone feels the need to speak out on everything. It is one thing to be a real activist. It is another to just be a foghorn. |

I have no beef that he's palling around with Trump. But his pronouncement that we "must" respect the office is baloney. It'd be great if we all chose to based on the merits of the person in office, but there's simply no "must" about it. |

"Woods again, declined: “No. I’m just finished 72 holes and really hungry.” Also, Republicans buy Nike golf equipment. |

I won't respect the office again until Trump is gone. Trump doesn't respect the office of the president and he sure as hell doesn't deserve my respect personally. And it's not because of party as I have voted for democrats and the GOP presidents in my time. |

I believe Obama was the worst president in my lifetime but I didn't want him dead or disgraced. Both of these people were elected the POTUS by the American people and if you want to take that decision away like the Dems want to do, then the Dems are seditious. |

Mandatory respect of an office or a leader or a flag or an opinion or whatever is the furthest thing from freedom and patriotism. I'll choose who/what I want to respect or not respect, thanks. What Tiger said had all the insight of a third-grade essay. |

What Tiger said had all the insight of a third-grade essay. Which was way beyond your educational levels. Obviously, Wood's parents and their upbringing of their child went well. Clearly Tiger's father who was retired military was very influential in his life and his immigrant mother raised him to respect the government of the United States. And these leftist pimps have no respect for that. |
