Yeah two great moments. That summer of 84 was one of my earliest memories of baseball. Such a fun time.

Austin 3:16....crazy how that took off. One of the greatest time periods in wrestling history.

How is it that everybody watched that game? Even I watched it when I got home from caddying. What a game.

Taking nothing away from his HoF greatness....Ryne Sandberg has to be THE most boring, uninspiring media interview in the history of sports.

Bor-ing.

it was a great game and a pair of great moments and what a magical season 1984 was. We will witness nothing like it again.

It was the National Game of the Week. It was the only chance to see any out of market teams and a lot of the country to see any MLB in the pre-cable days.

Also, I want to say the Cubs hadn't been on the NBC broadcast in years before that game - but don't quote me on that...unless I'm right. Pretty sure.

I didn't watch it. I listened to it.
My folks met up with some friends at Rimas Lodge in McHenry and I was playing in Lake Griswold and my dad I remember my dad screaming at us in the lake "you guys gott come listen to this game!" And we listened on the radio to the last several innings.
