Yeah two great moments. That summer of 84 was one of my earliest memories of baseball. Such a fun time. Austin 3:16....crazy how that took off. One of the greatest time periods in wrestling history. |

Even I watched it when I got home from caddying. What a game. RFDC wrote: Austin 3:16....crazy how that took off. One of the greatest time periods in wrestling history. Agree with that... |

Taking nothing away from his HoF greatness....Ryne Sandberg has to be THE most boring, uninspiring media interview in the history of sports. Bor-ing. |

it was a great game and a pair of great moments and what a magical season 1984 was. We will witness nothing like it again. |

It was the only chance to see any out of market teams and a lot of the country to see any MLB in the pre-cable days. Also, I want to say the Cubs hadn't been on the NBC broadcast in years before that game - but don't quote me on that...unless I'm right. Pretty sure. |

I didn't watch it. I listened to it. My folks met up with some friends at Rimas Lodge in McHenry and I was playing in Lake Griswold and my dad I remember my dad screaming at us in the lake "you guys gott come listen to this game!" And we listened on the radio to the last several innings. |
