I find her as a person incredibly obnoxious. However, I am captivated at watching the facial ticks, the way she talks out of the side of her mouth and the overly dramatic way she delivers a message. It's just visually interesting to observe. Rock on weird girl! |

The best way to get your point across and convince others is to be lectured by a privileged teenager. The Hogg taught us that. |

My only opinion of her is that her parents must fucking suck. |

Rock on weird girl! Gonna guess, the side of the mouth thing is how she speaks English. Gerrard Butler does the same thing. |

I'd DBotW her, but the true DBotW would belong to the adults using her as a meat shield for their alarmist bullshit. No, we don't have "10 years" left or whatever bullshit they are selling. The mask comes off when the people screaming the loudest against greenhouse emissions refuse to accept carbon free nuclear power as an alternative to fossil fuels. |

I think I read where she has Aspergers or some other form of autism. I'm glad she found something to be passionate about. It's just not realistic. |

it all feels forced just like the gun kids. she may be passionate about this cause and thats admirable but the puppetmasters behind this are merely using her as a tactic. |

She brings nothing of substance to that debate, which makes me wonder how she ever ascended to the world stage Not only does she bring nothing of substance, but she actually harms the debate when she (and her boosters) fight against nuclear power, which is the best answer to curbing fossil fuels without massively hiking energy prices. If you're going to talk about how bad carbon emissions are and then refuse to accept nuclear power, then I question your motives |

She's traversed the Atlantic on a sailboat, addressed fancy people in the UN, Davos, US Congress, etc. That's a lot of awesome experiences that 99% of the world will never sniff. |

Maybe you could stop being a cynic for three seconds. Do you think its even possible for somebody to be pro-green planet and not interesting in making a profit off of that stance? |

It's odd to me that adults like being lectured by an obnoxious teenager who doesn't know what she's talking about just because she's on "their" side politically. |

If she and the adults who are using her are serious about climate change and carbon emissions, they would be first in line to promote nuclear power. When climate activists try to move away from nuclear power, they show their true intentions. If you don't believe me, just look at the document Saikat Chakrabarti was dumb enough to send to every newsroom in the US earlier this year if you don't believe me when I say their true intentions aren't fighting climate change, but rather taking over our economy. I'm not kidding when I tell you that green is truly the new red. |

Too bad she was likely influenced or coerced by parents et al to do it. Better story for her would be parents take her on cross Atlantic sail boat excursion, she visits the US and all NYC has to offer and goes home with memories and pictures. |

On one hand teenagers are lectured for being lazy and good for nothing. Then when you have teenagers show passion and activism for a cause they're lectured for caring too much. It's better they die off already. |

I'm not kidding when I tell you that green is truly the new red. Stop talking about nuclear power. Just stop. That is a different discussion and I already said I agreed with the overall premise there. Reply to the post, not the poster. Regardless of her age or well to do status, she has a point. Man is making MANY changes to the planet, some of these are irreparable. This is not going to get better if we don't do something about it. |

Not expanding, improving and otherwise harnessing more nuclear is just one example. |

It was more like a yelling temper tantrum. |
