Pope Francis conceives Christ as Jesus of Nazareth, man, not God incarnate."

"Once incarnate, Jesus stops being a God and becomes a man until his death on the cross."

Getting closer to the truth. Jesus wasn't God. Never claimed to be. He was the messiah. Son of God.

Son and sons of God are referenced 10 times in the Old Testament and not a single one of them were God incarnate.

Never knew anyone considered Jesus a God, or the God.

Of course Jesus is God from a Christian perspective. He chose to walk the earth as a man. Chose being the operative word. The whole point is this is the the sacrifice God made for the sins of man. He could have flown himself down from the cross and started kicking the living shit out of Romans and Jews, but that would have defeated his purpose, wouldn't it? He came to you as the lamb. He will return as the lion.

The Pope is infallible, from a Christian perspective.

Back then I had a thing for Andie MacDowell. "Sex, Lies and Videotape" probably did it.

This had better be true....otherwise, you owe me a few clicks.

Later: Yeah, maybe, but I still wouldn't be able to pull the trigger because all I'd see is that 73 year-old weirdo detective whom my parents adored and who seemed to inspire murder everywhere she went. (The subtext was obviously that she was always the killer.) Plus, that stupid show was on during the week's most depressing few hours: Sunday night. Nothing good about Sunday night as a kid.

God, that show sucked.

Why doesn't God had out edicts and shit like he did in the old days? When I went to church as a kid, God always seemed to be chatting it up with us plebes. Now we're lucky if he talks to one crack pot per year. What gives?

He also stopped killing kids. It's pretty clear he has evolved*.

I'm still something like 4 seasons behind. I'll get back to it eventually.

The last I saw was God and his sister making amends.

I have faith you can catch up before next April or May or whenever the last episode airs.

Her look is a little too patrician and refined for me. I prefer her daughter.

I went to De Paul last night as they e-mailed it was their open house. We get there and a kindly old priest opened the door and said it was last week. He said another person had come as well. This wouldn't have happened in GT days. It was a bit on the fringe for me but I was prepared to be won over with the new campus and good momentum.

If the pope holds this sentiment, I don't know how he could maintain that he is still the legitimate leader of the Roman Catholic Church.

Yep. They settled this 1680 years ago.

One thing about Pope Francis is that he either is misquoted a lot or he goes back on his previous statements (like the one about gays).
