Another way baseball is just like life. You know it's going to end some time, but nobody can be sure exactly when:

That was pretty cool. Some big names, too. Remember the Sox's 25 inning affair? Harold ended that shit.

It's pretty shocking how small the players look and how amateurish the field looks. That is a high school quality field today. There were future HOF playing who are big guys so it just must be the production value of the broadcast that skews perception.

In regards to the field, a place like Thillens was a baseball palace in my youth but today it really doesn't even compare favorably to most suburban parks.

They should have repaired and repainted the big baseball at Thillens. It was iconic. So was the scoreboard.

Theo Epstien and Jesse Rodgers would have been complaining the next day saying that the game should have been called a tie in the 14th if a Cubs farm team was involved in such a game today.

There's nothing better than a baseball game surpassing 12 innings. I never want them to end.

Yep. Now minor league games in extra innings start with a runner on second with nobody out. Quite possibly the dumbest rule changes in the history of sports.

I’ve told you before that I’m always on the right side of history Hawger!

But for real you thought I’d support some intermural league bullshit like that?

I think that he lives out here. I know his mother does. She's a school teacher and a friend of ours is a fellow teacher and knows her well. When he joined the Sox, his mother was excited that he was going to be in a world series and both she and my friend were all of a great Sox fans. 8) 8) 8)
