Back as the number one sport in America for the first time in over 100 years.

I'm against Enforceable in the Louisiana Derby. I don't want to be betting a deep closer in a bulky field at a short price. I think Major Fed and Portos are legit alternatives.

What time will that race go off and how can I watch it?

My Girl-the 6-Fate Factor trained by Chris Block goes here in the 2nd! Tough field

Whole card looks very very good. Just be safe.

Should be around 3:49. It's on TVG and I think also on Fox.

Are Horses exempt from the virus? Seriously, though, why hasn't horse racing been stopped? Lots of people go to horse races, right? OR are they just going to race and televise the race and not allow people into the stands?

The key to this race is if anyone is going to go with the 3-Wells Bayou who may be able to go wire-to-wire even this salty group. If that happens and he is pressed (2-Mailman Money or the now ironically named 11-NY Traffic), that extra distance will leave a lot of tired horses...I'm not saying he's going to win but the 12-Lynn's Map was in the Risen Star with Modernist and Major Fed and made up about 4 lengths on the leader down the stretch...that bodes well for the extra distance...and will blow up the exotics at huge price...many others to like here

and in Race 10 I've really been fond of the 9-Factor This also facing a daunting challenge

Horses cannot transfer the Covid-19 to humans nor vice versa...there are no crowds anywhere in any racing venues...and even with that they are still shutting down...Aqueduct has cancelled the rest of their meet, today is the last day at Fairgrounds...I believe I read the Tampa Derby is being canceled/postponed...so enjoy it while it lasts

at least it's live sports

I'm taking half of what's left of our investments and splitting it between wagers at Fairgrounds and Santa Anita.

I'm certainly open to the idea that covid-19 was cooked up by some horse racing enthusiasts to save a dying industry/sport.

Would $500 across the board on each be an okay play? Want to clear out this long forgotten betting account.

Great Florida Derby card this Saturday. I hope it gets run. Broward County and the mayor of Hallandale are trying to stop it. This is where people are just idiotic. The "order" says that you may not gather in groups of more than ten. It takes about 20 people to put on the race card but they're spread out. Running in front of an empty grandstand with a skeleton crew is certainly well within the spirit and intention of the order.

But something that non-racing people don't understand is that the horses need care. You can't just walk away from them and come back when the virus is over. (Besides, it will never be "over". Hopefully it will be managed and eventually eradicated. But that will take awhile.) At least California understands that the horses need to be fed and exercised and that being the case, they may as well allow racing to continue so a few people can continue to put money in their pockets.

If you kill racing, you're taking assets that were worth millions and rendering them worthless with the snap of a finger. Believe me, there are assholes that will just take a worthless horse to a forest and set it free. Or they will get sent to the killers and then we can have a bunch of hand-wringing about horse slaughter.

Yeah, guessing a bit more social distancing will take place at Gulfstream than on those sidewalks and paths along A1A?
