Paul Pierce

For speaking the truth about Lebron James. Underachieved in Miami and has spent the bulk of his career playng director of player personnel.

Bill Russell built up the organization in Boston. He should get way more credit than we give him, and a lot of times
he gets left out of the conversation," Pierce said. "So in saying that, Kareem (Abdul-Jabbar), Magic (Johnson), (Michael) Jordan, Tim Duncan, Kobe (Bryant), (Larry) Bird. These guys are all-time top 10 players who either helped build up their organization or continued the tradition."

In Pierce's view, James doesn't belong in that same conversation because he loaded his championship teams with stars rather than build them from the ground up.

"He went and put together a team in Miami, and in some ways, he came back to Cleveland to put that team together, and then he went to the Lakers, where a tradition has already been made," Pierce said.

Lebron should be a GM when he retires or try to own a team and run it. Seems like he likes that aspect of the business.

I don't think he went far enough.

He didn't go to Miami and put together a group. He went to Miami to join other people already there. He is the passive. A perfect hero for current "adults"

I agree with Pierce. To me, when the whole thing went down in Miami, my interest in the NBA left.

If the Bulls were good this would probably be different, but basically the last time I really cared about the NBA is when the Mavericks upset the Heat that year.
