That seems unlikely. However, all the World Series games were within 2 runs (with one in extras), and in the ALCS, the Sox only won one game by more than 3 runs, so it wasn't as dominant as it looks from a pure W/L perspective. But don't get me wrong, we're always going to refer to it as 11-1 and then just ignore some of the smaller details.

I tend to lean this way. The fan bases may not have been the biggest so nationally it may not have been a big draw. But honestly that whole Sept to the end was a great time to be in the WSOX sphere. That Boston series...wow. thoroughly enjoyed watching Boston whimper into the darkness.

The el Duque relief appearance may have been the greatest in baseball history.

I like how Phil Garner throwing the stool/chair has been preserved for posterity. Whenever I see a highlight package of game 3, it's depicted.

It might be the best non-World Series relief appearance in postseason history.

Also if Derek Jeter made the two plays Uribe did in the 9th inning of Game 4, they would be lauded as all time great defensive plays. They still were, they are just largely forgotten about. That dive Uribe made into the stands is better than any play Jeter made in his career, including the relay toss in Oakland.
