My father cried when he died. He went and visited him a couple of times. He had these real nice coffee table books about the greatest racehorses of all time. The one story that I still remember about him was in his first night race it was a mile and a quarter. The way the track was laid out he had to go round 3 times. at the back stretch was a bank of lights the first two times he hit the turn the lights startled him and he just froze came to a dead stop and let the entire pack pass him. He wound up winning by 4 lengths |
