Yeah, but how long did it take him to get to Lake Geneva from Wrigleyville?

of course everyone is interested in how he installed plastic gas tanks in the back seat

whats actually impressive is how he managed to avoid being pulled over. but after reading its clearly a gigantic amount of luck. even if you jam laser guns, cops get really suspicious if they cant get a lock on you, and will still pull you over. his preperation wasn't the key... its just fucking lucky as shit.

There was no discussion of the route, which would seem to be a big factor.

how so? if on the interstates, he would have passed a ton of speed traps. but many of them would not have attempted to pull him over if their radar was jammed because they wouldn't necessarily know who was jamming them with all that traffic. but even then, he would have had to got extremely lucky dozens of times.

but if on rural roads, he would have passed a lot of super fucking bored local cops where it would be obvious he was the only one jamming their radar and they would love to pull his ass over and arrest him anyway. they dont need a radar lock to give you a speeding ticket, they have the right to cite you based on perception.

no matter what way you look at it, he was super fucking lucky to accomplish 100mph across the country without getting stopped.

I think JJ McClure and Captain Chaos did it in less time and they were in an ambulance.

Speed limit west of Forth Worth along I-20 to the New Mexico border is 85 posted with most cars routinely driving 10-15 mph over that.
