The best part about living up here is watching the city wide skyline full of fireworks from about 10pm to 1am every 4th of Julie.

Everyone is shooting their extra $600 unemployment up in the air this year.

They’re illegal up here too. But there are very few mechanisms to stop people from selling illegal fireworks in Wisconsin. So the selling persists despite it being illegal to launch bottle rockets and the like.

I'm not sure cities ever need to put on a fireworks show again. Let private citizens light up the skies every year.

i remember back in the day the fireworks at navy pier which you could view from buckingham fountain. everyone would be on the streets watching. why did they stop?

I have about 6-8 neighbors within a mile that drop serious coin on fireworks - it looks like community fireworks shows all around from my deck. It sounded like the Gaza Strip when I went to sleep around 11:30.
