Got a bunch of guys together to buy a liquor store in an Austin food desert and make it into a little grocery store. Cool thing to do.

It’s laudable. The problem with little grocery stores is high prices due to lack of buying power and limited selection. I wish them well.

Probably not. But there's going to be a lot more visibility about why it can't be viable.

He's going to need 24 hour state of the art security for all the shoplifting, and an armed guard for hold-ups. With all the overhead, prices will be very high. Also good luck finding hard working, dependable workers who don't have sticky fingers.
