It wouldn't be Speed Way though, Quik Trip is my bathroom of choice on the road. Big stalls and their bathrooms are cleaned constantly.

Even the Super 8 Hotel bathroom right off the expressway is usually in great fucking shape.

yep. sometimes we grab some complimentary coffee if the mood strikes us.

It's relatively easy to look like you belong and one of those lobbies if you are not wearing overalls and do not have a wad of tobacco in your mouth.

I think free coffee and free food have been wiped due to COVID.

A colleague of mine just drove 700 miles each way with his wife and young kids to visit grandparents. He strongly recommends Lowe's and Home Depot.

Speedway bathrooms for the most parts are worse than porta potties. Maybe their new 7-Eleven corporate overlords will do something about that.

Home Depot traditionally only has 2-3 sit down toilets in their Men's rooms. So you run the risk of a couple of rogue shitters just messing things up.

When we had little kids they loved the hotel stops - they would grab all those little tourist pamphlets and it gave the reading material for the next stretch of the drive.

MOFO: Ok, kids you know the routine. Dad has to shit, I need you guys to behave and go grab some reading material for the next 30 minutes, got it?

no - typically i never have to take a shit when i'm out on the road. My wife has to go all the fucking time, shes worse than the kids. and she is VERY particular about where she goes, so that's how we discovered the hotel lobby trick. the kids would grab those tourist pamphlets and realize how much fun shit there is to do that we are driving right by to get to our boring destinations.

Lowes has an employee bathroom in each store I've been in, which rarely gets used and has upwards of six stalls...

My buddy worked for NIU athletics back in the Jordan Lynch era. I went to the MAC Championship at Ford Field and he asked if I wanted to use his field pass to go down on the sideline. I was nervous about it but he said "just act like you belong". That the same attitude I take into hotel lobbies.
