I don't care what your age is, if your caddie is Tiger, or how short the course may be. 3 under is 3 under.

The 11-year-old won a US Kids Golf event at Hammock Creek golf course in Palm City, Florida, over the weekend and he put on quite a dominant show in the process. Woods won the nine-hole tournament by five strokes, shooting a 3-under 33 to clear finish atop the field. Charlie had a clean round, tallying three birdies and no bogeys.

Can you imagine the other kids looking over --- Is that Tiger Woods? OMG, that's Tiger! -- meanwhile his kid picks his ball off the green and throws it to his dad to have the ball cleaned.

His performance in this skill game is admirable. I wonder if he also excels at darts and pinball.

You can literally cut the disdain with a chainsaw.

Golf is pretty fucking hard. I spent 15 years trying to shoot par on a course I played at least once a week. Couldn't do it. You can't make up the fuckups like other games. Golf is unforgiving. I had to hang up the visor.

Just like your typical trumpet: "Waaa!!! The evil grass, trees and nature beat me again!!!! Waaa!!! Mother Nature is a nasty b.itch!!!" "Waaa!!! It's not fair, It's too hard!!!" "I quit...but take no responsibility for my fuckups"

Golfers know that their score is on them. They internally take responsibility of their own scores, good and bad. Unless you are playing in extreme weather conditions, 99% of the strokes you take in this game are on you and you alone.

Once in a great while you'll hit a really good shot and get a bad break from it. But on the flip side, you'll hit a crappy shot and get a good break more often than the former.

That's fine. I can live with it.

When it says par 72, that means I want to shoot 72.

When it says par 72, that means I want to shoot 72 on the first 13 holes.

When it says par-70, par-71, or par-72, I am just hoping to break 90.

Par 70 seems about right for the first 9 holes

I played frequently for 30 years and never broke 44 on a regular 9 hole par 36. And I never broke 48 on a course not owned by the Forest Preserve or the City of Chicago. I was a 26 handicap and so be it. As my dad would ask about leisure endeavors "did you think about work?" If the answer was no, it was a good round.
