Here's the story.

I did a fantastic podcast with JORR. I thought that one was really great with contributions from Peoria Matt, newper, and anonymous.

I had lined up Danny Mac to do the following week. He was still in-between jobs but he had done the podcast earlier in the year and mentioned that he might have something to announce around August. So, I reached out to him to see if he wanted to come back and update us on what might happen and he agreed.

He was in Canada and got delayed coming back so he got in late and couldn't do the podcast the following week. So, we rescheduled to do the week after that. But, I had something come up and I couldn't do it.

About 2 days later he announced he was coming back to The Score. I think I might have been able to get that scoop but it didn't work out. Nobody's fault. Schedules.

After that, my work just got too much. By work, I mean my actual job. We had what I would call a growth spurt that is only now starting to give me some more free time.

I haven't ruled out a return. I loved doing them. They were all very fun and everybody that joined me were very enjoyable to hang out with.

But, that's the story.

You are honestly better at radio/podcasting than anyone currently on the Score.

I love it. It's always solid.

I dismiss the opinion of anyone who calls a pizza a pie.

Do you own an orange Bears jersey?

Not just orange. He's probably got a Bears jersey in every color of the Skittles rainbow.

Not sure which is worse, the orange Bears jersey or the green Blackhawks sweater.

My favorite Deep Dish is Beggar's.

You will find no need to eat another's after you sample theirs.

The tangyness of the sauce and the chunkiness of the tomatoes is unmatched, and Beggar's sausage is the best in all the land.

The White Sox were smart when they chose this as their flagship 'za. There are locations everywhere, so it is easy to find.

Awesome observation, but no. I have a few Bears jerseys, but they are probably in a box or a closet somewhere with moth holes in them.

I have never tried Beggar's. I'll have to give it a shot the next time I make it back to Illinois. Burt's in Morton Grove makes a pretty good deep dish pizza if you're ever up that way.

Beggars is average at best. It’s sold at a lot of gas stations, if that helps.
It’s like chewing on a giant chunk of mozzarella.

Lou’s is way better, IMO

have to agree with spanky, Beggar's is just OK

It's pizza, so it's not terrible, but it's a like a 5.5/10

I have unsuccessfully tried to go there many times, but it is damn near impossible to get a seat there (even before Corona), and that ornery bastard never answered his phone (I think he passed recently), so carryout was not an option.

Beggar's deep dish. Set it up side by side in a blind taste test next to a Lou's and it will beat Lou's every time.
