So great to have Baseball back, with fans allowed to attend....if only in limited numbers. With the Cubs in first place and the White Sox in dead last, the season got off to a great start! |

HawaiiYou wrote: Elm Steve - do you still call into the radio shows? who do you think does the best job covering baseball on the radio? I know Jesse Rogers and Bruce Levine are supposed to be the baseball experts and they both do a decent job, though Bruce tends to avoid criticism even when it's warranted. But I would say that Marc Silverman and then Matt Spiegel, do the best job of covering baseball. Kap is a bit too much of a homer to see things clearly. He loves the game, which certainly comes across. But if he likes a guy (like say Lester) he wants to hang onto him, even if it makes more sense to move on. He let's his emotions get in the way of making prudent decisions. Silverman knows the game. Loves the game and tends to be pretty astute. |

No I have not. I liked him and miss listening to him, but he was around the age you might expect him to retire. I hope he is enjoying life with his weekends no longer taken up doing morning shows. His local office max probably is seeing a very real decrease in yellow pad sales. |

Last night was Blue Jays at Rangers, I think I was asleep by the third. I pick games with good PBP guys - Giants, Padres, Mets, Rangers, Blue Jays if Dan Shulman is doing the game. Gary Thorne doing the Orioles was always good as well, but the Orioles are cheap and whacked him before this season. And it makes the daytime talk on MLB Network Radio more interesting because by March they run out of things to talk about. |
