I've known him for a long time. Great kid. Hope he sticks in the league. He has always been knocking at the door but never has been able to stick.

Always nice to see stories about guys that make it in different ways. Just like Skip to my Lou did years ago.

Yeah he was a bit of a late bloomer. Kept working and getting better. Small but an explosive athlete. Made All City as a senior and had a helluva career at UWGB

Is that the thing something called "House of Paign" plays in? I just happened to see a game on a TV in a bar when I was in Milwaukee a couple weeks ago and I didn't know what it was. Is "House of Paign" as team based around former Illini that can't cut it in the NBA?

Most of the teams are loosely affiliated with a major college program though they often need to fill in with other free agents to have a full team as it really is just a hobby for most of the players since you get nothing unless you win the whole thing.

Schools are starting to embrace it though and it's pushing out the non-affiliated teams who can't really compete and the TBT doesn't care about teams without a built in fanbase.

Ultimately though, you are correct that many of the teams are based around former players from a specific program that can't cut it in the NBA.

So this is a tournament? How does a team get in? Could you put together a team and enter?

Yes. Single elimination tournament though I think they want to have a qualifying round at some point when COVID doesn't make that nearly impossible.

I think anyone can create a team. We could create a CFMB team and try and enter. They would have to rank you as one of the teams to make it though.

Marshall is near Sacramento and Adams, Bob.

I'm sure you are familiar with the area and just forgot.

Can college guys play without losing eligibility?

No. At least not yet. NLI could change that as you can get paid to run summer camps but probably you can't play for another team.

He probably books about $300,000-$500,000 per year. He has been on a few NBA teams over the years. That helps his market value. Plus he played in the Australian league which is one of the better leagues to play in.

Knicks defense gone to shirt this year, players tuning Thibs out already? Usually his teams are top 10 in defense. He even got the Twolves to play D for a season, and then they stopped the next.

By that 2nd year people who play for Thibs are burned out.
