In honor of my 50,000th post here (remember when that was a thing around here?), I, along with TEAM SPAULDING, wanted to take the opportunity to celebrate the greatness of our favorite poster SPAULDING and her 20 years of wedded bliss!!

What is your favorite memory of our great friend Spaulding?

I have so many that it will take me awhile to nail down one.

But my first memory of Spaulding was the Rocky quote she had as her signature when I first signed up here. From that moment on I knew she was a special one and that she was going to be one of my favorite people here.

So lets hear it CFMB!!!!

joke for a long time )

She came to see various iterations of CFMB bands at Katie O'Connors. Always a good time.

The infamous 'Rum & Diet" at the 670/Mac White Sox tailgate was also great.

I also remember being three (or four or five) sheets to the wind at Harry Carry's during an MJH remote in '05 or '06 when I was home from school. Bears played on a Monday night, and MJH provided pregame. Doug, Spaulding, Gridiron, M-C, and others (Dr Ken? Spmack?) were there at various points during the evening as well.

We were both going (separately) to a bears draft meet up with another board. We had met before. I was sitting in my car in the parking lot of the bar about to go in and saw her go by. I called out her name. She looked at me like I was a potential assaulter and moved quickly into the bar. Good times.

First time I met her was at the MJH white sox tailgate. I didn't know who she was or what she looked like and we did have several female posters back then but when I heard her voice from across the party I knew it had to be her.

My favorite story was when spmack saw me talking to Spaulding at the B&B Roast pregame and asked if I was her husband.

I had just guarded the guy for 2+ hours when we used to do basketball board outings.

Then, I made a joke that would likely get Dr. Ken cancelled today.

***no, it didn’t involve any cancel words. Just a play on an old joke.
