Goddamn this is a fun team. Deserves recognition outside of the basketball subforums

I just can’t get it out of my head that this could be this year’s Suns that go from nothing team to legit Finals contenders in a year that seems wide open.

This team might really just be fucking good. Such an awesome feeling after so many down years.

I love this fuckin team. Ayo as the hometown late round rookie pick off the bench already providing a nice spark just feels like the cherry on top

I am normally not a big consumer of NBA basketball. But I too am enjoying watching this team. Ayo's presence and contributions thus far make it even more enjoyable. I hope it lasts; no reason to think it won't.

Do you and your son sit down and breakdown the All-10 footage?

Miami, NY, Brooklyn and Milwaukee. Those are the teams the Bulls have to beat in the east. Let's see how they do once they play Milwaukee and Miami this year. Miami has Oladipo coming back eventually. In a playoff series I see Brooklyn beating us, primarily because of Durant and more postseason experience.

They just beat the shit out of Brooklyn. The Bulls are in that group. Oladipo hasnt been good in five years

Have you watched every game so far? What is there to be pessimistic about? Nas-like would be saying last years Bulls were Finals contenders

I'm not pessimistic, I'm just being realistic - the Nets probably win the East, so that's the measuring stick I think. Obviously beating their ass on Monday was encouraging but I don't think it suggests the Bulls will beat their ass in the playoffs. For me, I think it goes like this:

Nets
Bucks
Heat
Bulls/Knicks

I think the Bulls have the potential to surpass the Heat, but they are also more experienced than us. Let's see how that goes.

So to be clear, you don’t think it’s realistic to think the Bulls could beat the Nets and Bucks in the playoffs? They have no chance?

I'll say I see it as extremely hard to beat the Nets assuming health on both sides. And if Irving comes back and plays like a professional, then there's very little chance. It's going to be 2011 Bulls vs 2011 Miami again. Competitive games but they're just a cut above.

I think the Bulls can beat the Bucks, I'm very interested in that season series. What we don't have that Miami, Brooklyn and Milwaukee have is post-season experience. I think that plays a factor.

I think you are under the false impression that James Harden is still a player to be feared

I dont see Kyrie playing for the Nets this season

I think you're dead wrong about Harden. He looks super motivated this season to crush the competition.

Solid backup Big Man. Highly underrated. Rim protector and a Solid Rebounder.

He's been on 5 teams in 4 years. Using your own argument against Lonzo that means he sucks.

And He's getting paid as such so anything he provides (boards and a few blocks) is gravy.

Also it was the performance of Tony Bradley which led AK to ship out Wendell Carter last season. His performance as a 3rd string Center for Philly is the primary reason that they shipped out Wendell IMO. He was dealt right after Tony Bradley took him out last year.

He is actually better than what they are paying him and he paid immediate dividends after Billy D decided to give him a little burn.

Huge game tonight - 9-1 Warriors. Let's see how we stack up minus the big guy.

Interesting convo between Caruso and JJ Reddick. Not the focus at all, but Caruso takes a sec to acknowledge Vuc's slow start. High praise for DeRozan as a leader.

I'm expecting a big scoring night from Lonzo to fill the void left by the absence of Vuk
