If they actually poked him. I would question that. And I've watched the Combine for many years and I've never seen a prod used on camera. But that would cross the line. I wanted to get some insurance recently. They required me to undergo a series of tests. It was humiliating. It was almost like they felt they had the right to understand my situation before they committed serious financial obligations that would ultimately be for my benefit. I did not understand. Question everything. |

Question everything. It is interesting when you apply day to day examples to things. You can have a different view of something someone is exaggerating. |

He turned down multiple jobs in football to prove he could actually play. Could have been a backup in Seattle and everyone knows it. Could have played in the XFL. Could have played in the AAF. The NFL should have done a better job letting him fail in the NFL but it's pretty clear he was done. |

Kaepernick has done well in rebranding himself as a radical black-with-a-capital-B academic when the book on him around like 2012 was that he was dumber than a bag of hammers. |

"He went to Nevada" didn't have the same effect that it did for Richard Sherman*. *-who went to Stanford and it must be mentioned unless it refers to him having a domestic disturbance. |

I don't know whether you remember the original Colin Kaepernick Controversy, but it was that he wore a Dolphins hat in the offseason while being on the Niners roster. People were like "nooooo you can't wear another team's gear when you're on a team!", and his response was something like "I'ma always do me and rock my look and none of the haters can stop my grind." Basically, he sounded like Jason Goff. The whole thing came and went without incident, because it was like 2013 when nothing in life really mattered, but at no point did I think the guy trying to be a hypebeast on instagram was going to go on to be the tribune of all black people. |

All I really remember now is the cadre of posters led by FF that he could still play for years. Never accepting that if he could he would. Or whether he really even wanted to anymore. |

We shouldn't have route trees in playbooks because it brings up images of lynching. |

I'm watching a clip of his Netflix miniseries and it's interesting how he has developed the inflections of a black preacher despite growing up in an upper-middle-class white milieu. I went back and found an interview from 2012-13 and he sounds like a cross between a cheesehead and a dudebro, which, being from SoCal by way of Milwaukee, is what he is. EDIT: might as well cite my sources, compare this with this |

It's surreal to see this guy embody what he's criticized - just another rich suit trying to monetize brown/black bodies. I guess he's the pioneer of this sort of racial victimization industrial complex. Make some headlines about how this or that thing you've experienced is akin or worse than slavery then let gullible liberals compete with one another over who can apologize to you first. Drive attention and then capitalize with a book (Pippen) or a Netflix series (Kaepernick) to maximize your earnings. It's really subhuman to seriously insist rookie camp or whatever is some form of slavery when that very process propelled you to career earnings that are simply unimaginable to the vast majority of brown and black people. The dude signed a fucking $160M contract, even though he only realized around 30M of it. Maybe that was racism too. It's guys like these that undermine actual racial grievances from real people. Also, I realize he's not the first to create fake narratives from which he personally profits. |

The ignorance in this thread is through the roof. Talk about embodying literally everything they criticize. You can't make this stuff up. |
