He was sacked 1 time and there wasn't a damn thing he could do about it. He did a great job of killing plays early and stepping up and running when he needed to. Throwing the screen in to the dirt when the DLineman tackled the RB because it was before 5 yds was a veteran move. He will be just fine if they go that direction instead of bringing Rodgers back.

I have watched all the backups play in GB and they usually look awful. I felt fine watching Love. Say what you will about KC's D but they threw the gauntlet at him. LaFluer did not help him out either with some vanilla 1 read plays. He made him go to the line and read the D every single play and decide what to do.

There’s been a school of thought out there that Bears fans can’t adequately assess good QB play, what with all the bums who’ve rolled through Halas Hall over the years. Usually it’s brought up when people overly praise guys like Cutty, McCown, Trubinsky…Fields(?). It’s a dumb point and assumes we don’t watch other teams play, but whatever.

Noting the above, I’d like to highlight that Pack fans don’t really understand when they’re watching a shit QB. It’s been a few decades since you’ve had the pleasure and I think you may be rusty. The guy I saw today was objectively bad. He’d fit right in with the Bears’ parade of horribles.

I was not too discouraged by what I saw from a guy making his first career start. He’ll start hitting some of those timing throws more often with more experience
