Loaded up the wagon with Two Post and Three Post, packed up a picnic dinner and walked the 35 minutes or so to Hermann Park. Played soccer and baseball under a gorgeous twilight sky, ate dinner, fed the ducks. All while the world renowned Houston Symphony was playing Aaron Copeland’s greatest hits at Miller Outdoor Theater. Walked the way home through the peaceful and scenic Rice University campus. Welcome to the greatest city of all, Houston Texas. |

My Guy Divebomb is in Houston....he built my Gibson Explorer clone. I like him. I also have always had a soft spot for the early 80's Nolan Ryan Astros and those orange uniforms. other than that....fuck Houston. #2005 |

I love the city. Except for the traffic. And only if the AC is omnipresent. |

I regularly travel for work and have been to pretty much every major city in America and can confidently say that Houston is among the 10 worst I’ve visited. |

This is a good question. Keep in mind I do not like hot weather, and I do not golf. I do not like Atlanta, LA, Birmingham, Phoenix, St Louis. I have not been to Detroit. |

Your list lines up with mine except I actually like St. Louis (admittedly the downtown is terrible but there are some great neighborhoods). Detroit has improved over the last few years but is still not great. |

Detroit has improved over the last few years but is still not great. Detroit has about one good square mile where you can enjoy the Art Deco architecture and the wonky Parisian intersections and the chili dogs and all that. It drops off hard once you cross the freeway. I guess it's the opposite of St. Louis, which I dislike very much. What people think Detroit is, St. Louis actually is, I've always said. |

Take the urban decay and reactionary suburbs of Milwaukee and then put them in a fat guy's ass every summer. What's not to love. |
