What an absolutely garbage telescope Hubble was. Just pure shit.

Those images are totally amazeballs. Can't wait till they get shots of alien civilizations.

A winning team in a nice stadium is certainly alien to Bears fans.

The pictures are cool but I am cynical enough to wonder whether they've been enhanced for public consumption (to support more funding etc). They almost seem too colorful and sparkly.

I don't really care about space, it just doesn't do it for me. I am thankful for innovations and some items we have because of it but I wonder if they could have been developed without NASA.

 Are you also one of those people who has no interest in visiting other countries?

Darko is not going to be happy about this.

There are a few things I'd like to see in some specific places, and a few other countries I'd like to do a 2-3 week trip but other than that no I'm not a traveler. I had never been on a real family vacation just for the sake of it until after I was married. There places to go or things I'd like to do in the US I guess but the list is longer for places I don't think I'd like to go. Sometimes I get anxious on vacation.

Good lord.
Ya know... I just can't... how could you...
Yeah whatever man. I guess all that matters in human civilization is a quarter acre lot in DuPage County.

Very few pictures you see from space are not altered, enhanced or something in some way. When you see a picture of a galaxy or nebula it's likely a very long exposure, hours of exposure perhaps. Some pictures are taken using hydrogen or oxygen filters and the like, and many are taken in spectrum that the human eye can't see so what you're seeing is a color representative of a color you cannot imagine. Most commonly you'll see xray or infrared scopes taking such pictures. In other words if you got up all close to a galaxy it wouldn't be the bright colorful pinwheel that you see in nasal pictures.

Dupage is horrible at this point. If you sit me by a lake or ocean I can watch waves roll in for hours.

Until you have to live through a hurricane or two and then you realize it's not like a vacation.

I think she means the Dupage River.

Idk how those brave space station souls live in space. When I think about it I feel - paradoxically - claustrophobic. Like sometimes you just feel like getting away from things, getting in a breeze outdoors, enjoying the openness of whatever park or field etc. I know the station is big as hell but still you can't get away and enjoy...space, in a different sense of course. I could visit space but not sure about staying the night.

And what about the pooping? Is there a fan? Can you flush or is it like Mexico where it goes in the trash? And everybody knows what you’re doing in there. God forbid you get diarrhea.

Would think an advanced alien civilization would see this telescope and after laughing at our ancient technology would feed us a bunch of imaginary images while blocking us from seeing them.

It would also seem that if it picks up anything that the government thinks we shouldn't see that those images will not be made available to the public.

Sure, but I guarantee the Russian is going with the door open and fanning out the stink with his hands.
