Kate Upton's husband can't be arsed to toss an inning? Probably cheesed off that McClanahan got the start. Sounded like Verlander was ready to pitch the ASG if he were the starter.

Gonsolin sucks. Probably back in the minors by the end of the season.

Maybe Verlander angling for his 3rd Cy Young to catch Scherzer and Kershaw. Unless McClanahan goes on the DL little chance of Verlander having better numbers than McClanahan other than wins. Plus Verlander's pushing 40, dude has to run out of gas at some point.

Verlander made it look easy against the lowly A's over the weekend, striking out 10 over six innings on his way to MLB leading 12th win:
