It's one of my few rules about eating. If it's bad for you, it's gotta be at least a 9 on the delicious scale. Ice cream sammich? It's a premier take it or leave it item. There's several of these popular items that invariably leave me disappointed. And Oreos lead the charge.

Let's talk donuts. I always thought I'd eventually get over them but these Big Donut fuckers keep making them better and better. The apple cinnamon ones they put out around halloween? Unbelievable.

The ones from the gas station smooshed between two soft chocolate chip cookies are pretty good. Mom used to buy them from the Schwans man when I was a kid and those were top notch. Best one I ever had was at the Masters where it is peach ice cream between two sugar cookies. They didn't offer them this year because they didn't have the labor force to make them apparently. It was one of the top things I was looking forward to.

If you're going to eat something awful for you, it better taste great. This is why I have no interest in ever eating a hotdog again. And ice cream sandwiches with the dense, chocolate bread are mediocre at best. My kids eat them but they're kids with poor taste. The ice cream sandwichs that had chocolate chip cookies as the "bread" back in our HS cafeteria were pretty good.
