The entire HawaiiYou/whistler/etc. family reminds me of that book about Billy Milligan. Each one of his personalities (supposedly) would come up to center stage and take over for a bit.

Who doesn't love Billy Milligan?

Ohio State fan, like Dahmer.

So . . . was Milligan faking it? What do people think now? I only remember the book from thirty years ago.

There's a netflix doc on him. Him and Bundy could have been best buds.

Interesting, Nardi.

I think he was a creative person who made a bunch of stuff up. I re-read some of the book a while back, and it was kind of funny--like it was actually a mult. The Ragen personality, which stood for "Rage-in" or something, almost felt like it was created by a group of marginally-talented, barely-professional comics parodying community theater. Like some guy trying to be sophisticated or witty and just not having the tools or self-awareness to pull it off (kind of reminds me of half the posters on a certain discussion board).

When I read it when I was 21, I was blown away. Then when I read it a while back, I felt like it was more Andy Kauffman than anything else. Of course, I don't know what I am talking about, so feel free to disregard everything I said on this topic.

Serial killer Andy Kauffman is a good comp.

By and large, serial killers aren't that interesting. Their actions are. So in the rare case they have interesting, maybe self aware personalities, I get hooked.

There's Bundy, Milligan, and Ed Kemper. I don't find Dahmer, Gacy, Speck interesting.

An interesting take would be a serial killer fan of the board taking out Hawaii You and others.

Don't look them up if you ain't heard of them. No amount of listening to "Anna Ng" will cleanse their crimes from your mind.
