Dude wins The Memorial yesterday and 3.6 M. Told a former college teammate that he would caddy 36 holes in the U.S. Open Qualifier today, last Tuesday. Showed up this morning and did it, class.

By all accounts a very good guy. Would have been easy to phone that one in or hire someone else to do it for him. He wanted to be there for his buddy and clearly thought he could add something to the bag, not to mention standing by his word and being there for a good friend.

Give him a medal for doing what he said he would do?

Carrying a guys bag for 11 hours after winning over 3 million dollars deserves a shoutout. If I won $3 million dollars in the lottery you'd be hard pressed to find me at work the next day.

I think had he not done it he would have deserved a douchebag nomination more so than a special shout out for simply doing what he had already arranged to do for a good friend.

Yeah I mean , hes a top 10 golfer in the world so he had to figure he’d be playing on Sunday when he committed to doing this and ( devils advocate) unless he has intimate knowledge of the course that he’s caddying on , his teammate might even be better off with a regular caddy rather than a tired pro college teammate doing it . That said, Hovland does seem like a good guy and is easy to root for .
