Mitch Rosen, ever the players coach, letting everyone take a day off when it's after a Bears game So it's Gabe Ramirez stepping up and being on the mic when Eberflus was fired He was fine! It could've been much worse, Gabe is not an idiot, obsessed with himself, and/or doesn't sound like shit... so he has a leg up on much of the B team (and some of the main guys) Gabe had Grote on right away and took calls, which I don't like but some of you really clamor for so you should second this nomination His reward was, as CH said in the other thread, getting usurped by David Haugh who apparently really doesn't like to be home ever. Gabe isn't great but deserves to at least have the Leila first out of the pen role |

You'd think they'd want to have all hands on deck for Bears season and then make up the time off in the Sports Dead Zone, but I don't think it's really that important anymore. |

I remember Gabe being an on air host on B96... Radio is definitely not a career where you do it for the money or job stability. I am pretty sure his wife is the bread winner in his family where his radio gig is only a bench role on the score which is probably paying peanuts! |

Thankfully, this Gabe guy has been great to listen to. I never heard him before but he reminds me of a score host from the glory days. The other guy who is working with him is pretty good too. they're doing a good job taking calls. |

Bad news for whistler a/k/a "Estes Hood," sounds like fired-Eberflus talk is going to pre-empt Westwood One's coverage of Raiders-Chiefs for everyone who's not streamin' and watchin' it. FUCK! |

You have to keep top talent like Laurence Holmes happy. Traditional days off and telecommuting from Arizona opportunities. You don't want to lose him to YouTube! |

FUCK! i haven't listened to the score in a long time. I think I tuned in when the new partner of Bernstien started. Bernstein started talking about when McNuggets were new and started singing the jingle and I turned that shit off immediately. How does this guy even have a job? I turned on Larry Holmes today after Gabe and fucker is lecturing for 20 min. Like he's doing me some favor. turned that shit off too. I can't believe there is no new young hungry talent out there to replace these guys. That's probably why podcasts are so much better to listen to. |
