I think the guy that has been somewhat overlooked in the Superbowl celebration for Philly is Vic Fangio. He delivered one of the great defensive performances ever seen by a Coordinator in a Superbowl, shutting down KC's offense through three quarters. I was wondering what the prop bet odds were shutting KC out for through the first half, must have been like 10-1 or more. His defensive lineman put on a clinic in getting to Mahomes with only the front four. Philly's defense shut down KC so bad that FOX and the announcers couldn't show the rush and passing stats for much of the game because it would have embarrassing to KC. This performance is up there with the Bears' in '85 for sure.
"He took over a defense that ranked 26th in total defense (356.1 yards per game), 30th in scoring defense (25.2 points per game) and 25th in takeaways (18). This season, with players such as linebacker Zack Baun, defensive tackle Jalen Carter, safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson and rookie defensive backs Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper Dejean, Fangio transformed the unit to rank first in total defense (278.4 yards), second in scoring defense (17.

and sixth in takeaways (26)."
