Very cool of a couple of guys to give up some of their loot for some sick kids. Kinda what the holidays are
supposed to be about.....

SAN DIEGO -- Caellan Carmichael didn't look like he was enjoying himself Monday during a Make-A-Wish Foundation event in downtown San Diego. Carmichael, 13, along with a group of kids and their families, visited with TCU and Louisiana Tech players and coaches in conjunction with Wednesday's Poinsettia Bowl. Louisiana Tech receiver Quinton Patton noticed Carmichael looking gloomy and offered his Poinsettia Bowl gifts. It did the trick. Patton gave Carmichael his $300 Best Buy gift card. Teammate Adrien Cole gave Carmichael his Tourneau Poinsettia Bowl watch. Another excited kid received Patton's bowl watch."Christmas is based on giving, not the gift," Patton said. "I like to give. I saw his wish was to go to Disney World. I didn't think we could do that but thought here's something to make him smile. "Patton has a young daughter, so seeing children fighting for their lives was an eye-opening experience. TCU linebacker Tank Carder, also a father, said it's a relief knowing Make-A-Wish "is out here helping them get through it. "The nearly two-hour event included pizza and slide show and was a brief respite from the typical pregame preparation.
