for allowing women to run for office and vote without a male guardian's approval in 2015 ! ..unfortunately they still cannot travel, work study abroad or marry/divorce or gain admittance to a public hospital without a male guardians approval. |

Don't rape victims still get charged with capital crimes (infidelity) over there? Great nation though. Really great. |

not sure, but i know they get several lashings from a whip..believe 100 is custom..although it can be doubled for "speaking out"...disgusting how tight this country is with saudi arabia considering their women's rights and most of the 911 hijackers were saudi ... |

of course not, who would?..but that has nothing to do with saudi arabia ..it is a common misconception that they supply large amounts of oil to the u.s. canada and mexico are the main suppliers..saudi arabia supplies us with as much oil as venezuela does. |

That's irrelevant. The price of oil is driven by events in the Middle East. The U.S. has precious few allies in that part of the world. The U.S. government isn't likely to further strain its tenuous relationship with one of them over a human rights issue. |

i would call saudi arabia an enemy not an ally..they do fund alqueda and slaughtered lambs and sheep to celebrate 911. |

They speak with forked tongues. 18 of 19 9/11 terrorists were Saudi nationals. |

Does that mean the U.S. government supports and finances rapists, murderers, terrorists, and assholes in general? Save yourself the trouble and just say now that you are just saying things up to get a reaction. You've used that line of thinking before. Can you tell me what rapists, murderers, and terrorists aren't dealt with swiftly and severely here? Do you think that Saudi Arabia has gone after terrorists in their own country as diligently as we would have? |

Agree to disagree. I don't think that the issue in that part of the world is that they simply can't find people who support Al Queda. You clearly think that it's simply poor investigative skills. Happy New Year. |

Just like when I read an IMU post, I like to give them the benefit of the doubt that they can't really think that way and it's just intentional ignorance.
