playing 25 years of Taste of Chicago concerts. Great stuff.

I began a workout just as they opened the Bo Deans and the time passed with ease.

WXRT is one of a handful of things I miss about Chicago. The pledge drive is always cool. They always play Fight the Power followed by Rainbow Connection. Cracks me up.

Sheryl Crow was brutal. Out of town crap and her talking was as fake as some peoples radio laughs.

They've been known as "Chicago's Finest Rock" since 1972 when they were broadcasting at 4949 W. Belmont. It's not just 'XRT broadcasting Taste of Chicago concerts over the weekend that they've been known to do, let alone an annual live broadcast from the Petrillo MusicShell in Grant Park during the Taste. WXRT has also featured a different decade for an entire weekend the last 3 months to coincide with 93.1 FM's 40th Anniversary this year. They're still worth a listen to this day with no plans to change formats like many of their competitors have done in recent years.
