Except I don't think Zach does that. Mac wouldn't be happy about the Bears if they won a Super Bowl. Zaidman does offer criticism, he just doesn't go out of his way to trash the team, and, even offers up positive news as well. I know that's blasphemy for some who feed off negativity, but just because Zaidman tries to offer a balanced view, doesn't mean he's "licking the Bears".

Give me a fucking break. Bernstein once asked Zaidman to name one--one!--player on the Bears who he considered below-average. He couldn't do it. Guy's a PR flack, plain and simple,

No argument, but doesn't he pick up a separate check from the Bears for his Bears work? I think we'd all be somewhat reticent to criticize and perhaps in turn antagonize one of our employers to huge numbers of their demographic members, no?

Doesn't make it any more of an enjoyable listen, just thought it might be considered by some to mitigate some of the out and out hate due to other considerations (e.g., the man's income).

wow this paragraph is horribly structured. i'm going to read a bunch of articles by a professional writer like tim "10 foot midget" buffet in order to learn how to write. in the interim, the point i wanted to make was that it's cool to see a guy on a recession contract still be populist enough to pull a dark knight kaplan and "call it like its see it" and say what we've all been thinking about "the ginger haired genius" --- he is a professional bears bidet. he does a good job and i appreciate what he does, but still, there comes a point where you gotta LOL @ the guy cuz he puts on a show that even has to LOL at in private..... it's nice to know that someone @ der schnorr is "real" enough to be on "our" side with this stuff.
